Lithuanian Association of Basketball Coaches would like
to inform that on July 8-10 International Seminar for
Basketball Coaches will be held in Vilnius.
Lithuanian
won three Olympic bronze medals from 1992 unitl 2000 and
was the European Champions for
Men in 2003. They were shining with their quick and
entertaining game of basketball. The Lithuanian
women’s team won the European Championships in 1997.
How
comes that a country with less population than 4 million
people constantly could produce well
trained and world class basketball players? Now
there is a chance for you to take part from the knowledge
and experience that has been forming “the
Lithuanian basketball wonder”. Meet some of the top
coaches and teachers in this clinic. There is also
three international guest lecturers. There is also a camp
of Free Agent players.

Dear colleagues,
Lithuanian Basketball Coaches Association would like to inform You that
the International clinic for Basketball Coaches will be held in Vilnius
(on July 8-10, 2005). Basketball clinic will last for three days, and
three practices will be held each day, moreover all participants will be
able to watch friendly games of SDG agency players (free agents) and will
be invited to coach party for discussions.
Topics of the clinic days will be the following:
First day (Friday, 8th) - basic and special physical preparation for
basketball players.
Second day (Saturday, 9th) - teaching and improving basic basketball
technique.
Third day (Sunday, 10th) - basketball team tactic.
Last year our clinic (Vilnius 2004) was attended by more than 180 coaches
from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweeden, Germany, United Kingdom, USA,
Australia and other countries. In this year we expect about 250 - 300
coaches from all parts of the world, we have considered all responses of
the coaches from the last clinic and will make this year clinic still more
valuable.
We hope that you will take an advantage of this opportunity to talk on
basketball with your fellow coaches and to get closer look at Lithuanian
basketball. We look forward to seeing You in Vilnius (July 8-10).
